Car Insurance!

I now have my own car insurance! By that I mean for the past six years of my driving I have been a name underneath my Mom or Dad. Now I finally have MY OWN ! It's actually exciting. Another step into adulthood. =D I used to have Mercury Insurance and they're pretty great......but Geico is even better! =D and cheaper :) I also tried Liberty Mutual for TWO days (lol) and they're not bad, either. But Geico was the best for me! I'm happy and excited and feeling relieved. I hated just giving my mom money and having it 'taken care of'. I enjoy paying my own bills and having things in my name. and now I have car insurance on my list :) I will say it's annoying talking to all these agents and giving all the information, but it's able to be done and once it is done, it's so satisfying. By the way, there's all kinds of discounts out there...So don't be afraid to ask! -ssr

I made a book :)

I was so bored yesterday, that I made my own recipe book! :) I had this journal since 2007, a friend of mine, Jasmine, got it for me for a birthday present when I turned eighteen. I imagined I'd write useless thoughts in that journal, but I already had four others to do that with. This one I made into a book. I wrote a table of contents and color coded different food groups, snacks, lunches, dinners, desserts, drinks, skin care/health facts ect. It's pretty bad ass. It's finally put together, it still has space for more, though. The recipes are not my own. They are a collection from over 120+ Seventeen  and Cosmopolitan  magazines that I've had since I started my subscription in like...2006, I think. :) I want to add some pics to show my amazing creation! It took FIVE hours, by the way. Yeah, that's dedication. (Or boredom hehe). Pretty, right? Oh and yes, I numbered the pages too, for the table of contents hahaha. Sometimes, I really love myself. Now

Judgement is for bored people

Have you ever been driving in a car with someone, and you find yourself thinking to yourself,   "God, will you just shut the hell up?" No, not cause their motor mouth, but because their so judgemental . Well, I haven't lately, but I remember during High School and whatnot I had several people in my life that were so annoyingly judgemental of other people who they did not know. I was actually one of these people (kind of), but I didn't know it at the time. When someone is unaware of a particular kind of a person, they immediately dislike, or associate feelings similar to dislike. Their uneducated, unfamiliar, unaware, and instead of taking interest and asking, they are maybe afraid or uncomfortable, and resort to making a joke or saying something that they think the other person (friend) in the room wants to hear, but usually the other person (friend) laughs along for the sake of you. (Unless their not about that, then they'll of course make you feel stupid)

In-laws and shit

I don't think marriage can be at it's best unless each person is on good terms with their in-laws. For some reason when I hear this word I automatically result to being pissed off, because this term is associated with a bad connotation for me, for personal reasons I won't share. I do believe your marriage can be successful and happy, but not as happy as it could be if you were okay with the mother and father of the person you choose to marry. Why? Why do they matter soooo much? Well for starters these two people did raise the person you are in love with. Hopefully you're in love if you're planning on marrying. These two adults had a significant impact on the outlook of your spouse's life. Hopefully they are good people who believe in right versus wrong and not stealing ect. If not, hopefully the person you love learned from their mistakes and won't repeat them. Also, when you love someone you have to remember they have a family they came from. Th

we all need it

Steve Harvey once joked, "The only way to help a poor person is by not being one!" I laughed soooo hard, because it caught me off guard. His sense of humor agrees with mine, though. I like stand up comedy a lot. I mainly like laughing . Laughing is healthy. Supposedly people who laugh more, live longer. I don't know if it's true, but it's worth trying ;) The other day I don't know why I thought about this joke, but I did. The more I thought about it, the more I realized I saw a different side to this phrase, which maybe was never meant to be seen. What I found in this statement is basically people need motivation. Us humans need to see results or proof before we have hope or motivation to accomplish something. Sure, there's the people who self-motivate too, but almost always there is something or someone they have seen who has already accomplished such heights, which is why they strive to also accomplish whatever goal, or even better, exceed the alre
