Look What You Made Me Do REVIEW

When Taylor Swift first appeared on the music scene, I was going through my whole dislike-anything-that-majority-of-people-like-just-to-be-different phase.

HAHA

I don't know what snapped but one day I just realized how much I appreciated her music writing skills and melodies and easy to sing along factor.

I have top 5 favorites which are:

Being a pretty loyal follower of Taylor, or "a Swiftie" (LOL) I keep up with new songs and album drop dates. Normally she puts out new music every 24 months around the fall time..... This year however she changed things up and us fans painfully waited for three full years!

I read on Facebook about a song being revealed Thursday "night" so naturally I planned to wait until midnight because obviously I'm not going to miss it! I don't get this committed to many things, so don't judge me!

This first release is called Look What You Made Me Do and my first time hearing it, I felt unsure. I didn't know what I expected or how I felt. I was also desperately trying to listen on volume 1 through my cell phone as my husband was asleep next to me. I turned it up a little bit and I replayed this song FIVE times before I could understand how I felt.

I went to bed, I didn't have any clear thoughts, and I woke up to Friday morning for work.

My job allows for headphones because primarily I do data entry so THANKFULLY I got to play this bad boy on repeat for hours. hehehe.

I did skip around and listen to a few people's covers of the song over on YouTube and then had a blast watching "reaction" videos from hundreds of people.

So my final GOOD thoughts.

I do like this song.

It is catchy.

It is easy to sing along to.

It is car music, mostly, but also home music (when I'm working etc)

It is different.

It's Taylor's voice.

My final NOT GOOD thoughts:

It is a bit forced in my opinion on T.S. 'trying too hard' to be 'too edgy'

It doesn't show growth to me, instead, I felt she took a step back with how repetitive the lyrics are it's kinda juvenile to me

It sounds a bit 'like this' and a bit 'like that' there are SO many different kinds of sounds to it. This isn't a bad thing really but I feel like she did a little too much on it like chill out pick a tune and go with it lol

but overall, I do like it, and the more I play it the more I like it, duh.

I'll always support this artist because I've purchased every album so far and I haven't been disappointed.

HER ALBUM COMES OUT NOV 10 (also my dad's birthday hehe) I CANNOT WAIT ;)

Do you agree? Disagree? Leave me a comment, I would love to hear your thoughts!!
