Free ways to be happy :)

This is my fun and free list of simple ways to make yourself happy! No specific order :) This blog was inspired by this young lady right Here

*1* Go OUTSIDE! Many of us are stuck indoors while working all day, then we come home and sit/relax! Try to spend some time outdoors. Walk your pets longer, sit on the patio with a cup of tea, lay down in a hammock! Whatever you have around you, use it! You'll feel great!



*2* Call someone you love/miss. So many of us (including parents) have resulted to texting as a means of communication/keeping in touch, that we have forgotten how nice it is to hear from someone! Just the sound of hearing someone's voice or laugh (that you care for) can reduce depression, in my opinion.



*3* Make your very own list of what makes you happy! Think of things or places that make you smile, and you'll notice just by writing it down your memories will take you back there and you'll feel a sense of peace for that moment.


*4* Create a new recipe! The fun part is not knowing what you'll come up with! Raid your pantry/fridge and only work with materials you already have! It'll be fun to see what exactly you can find and create!



*5* Clean! This isn't fun for many people, but the after effect is almost uniform across the world. After a room or home is cleaned, you feel a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment.



*6* Do some laundry! Your home will smell of clean linen, and the smell alone can put anyone in a good mood!

*7* Spend time with the people/animals you live with! They are already at home with you, instead of parting ways in the hall across bedrooms, sit and talk and play games! Hanging out can relieve stress! Sometimes just talking about your day alone will put you at ease!


*8* Remember when you were younger and you dreamt of where you would be at this age now? Are you successful according to your plans before? If not, instead of feeling bad/down about it, understand you still have time to make either those goals happen OR new goals! Now that you're older, you're much more realistic and even if it's a small trip you plan, it can be a lot of fun! Sit back and ponder.


*9* Light some candles! The area you are in will be filled with whatever scent you love, and by smelling it (like the laundry), you will instantly be in a better mood!



*10* Get inspired! There's nothing like feeling motivated and on top of the world! Some common sites to get inspiration/new ideas are Pinterest and YouTube! Great ways to try new hairstyles, fashion ideas, nail polish styles, recipes, cleaning methods, workouts, etc.

*11* Go running! It's known to be a stress reducer, but it also will make you happy by releasing endorphins! If running isn't your thing, just go for a nice walk!


*12* Rearrange your bedroom or living room furniture! Sometimes a new look is very nice!
