STOP FEELING BAD!

I am a proud exchange/return whore! Yep, you read correct!

Stop being shameful and shy when it comes to exchanging retail or returning items. (I mean if it's useless/broken/not needed).

Lately, I've been hearing many, many friends feel ashamed or bad about returning something they realized they did not need, or exchanging something because they got the wrong size/color/kind. WHY? WHY the HELL does anyone feel BAD? THINK ABOUT IT. You PAID for it, you don't NEED it, so GO RETURN/EXCHANGE! Don't abuse the system, but use it when nessecary because that's why it's there!

I don't feel bad one bit. These people WORK in a department MADE for exchanging/returning.

If something breaks, you are ALLOWED to at the least TRY to go swap it out. Many stores will exchange (as long as it remains on the shelf still) without even a reciet. All you have to do is walk in there, have the product or the remains of a product, and show that it still is being sold at the store.

Whether you paid more or less you won't benefit, because unless there is a reciet you will just get the price as marked on the product (if we're talking about store gift cards). I've worked in retail for over five years, so I know a few rules.

Walmart is by far the easiest place to return something. I have even brought back a table before, without a barcode/reciet/packaging and they replaced it (it was broken) without any questions. The more confident you are, the nicer they treat you. There's no need to be a bitch, people will help you if you are kind, being confident is just better so they don't try any funny buisness.

I don't think it annoys me when people are afraid to go return something, but it bothers me because I know how easy it is for companies to replace things. They have a specified area for "broken" and "returned" and "opened" and "damaged" things. It's nothing to these companies. I have had to "throw away" perfectly good make-up before just because when it came into the store to put on the shelf, it was a LITTLE open. COME On! They don't give a shit, so why the hell do you?

And LADIES, speaking of make-up, many people do NOT know this, but, I know for a fact Walmart, Target, and Walgreens (I'm sure there are more but these are my for sure knowings), you can buy make-up, USE IT, and return it (if you don't like it) They don't care. I have had to accept returns before (at Walgreens) just because the "COLOR" wasn't matching the woman's skin tone any longer. (You know, the seasonal color change, hahaha). My managers weren't just nice people, this is a rule nation wide. As long as the product is sold at the store, you can return in. I've bought things at Target before, and returned them elsewhere (knowing it was the same exact product and sold at both locations).

I wouldn't trust CVS (as far as returning) because almost all their stuff has CVS written almost clearly somewhere on it. So unless you shop there, don't try them. They're a little more difficult.

K-mart........I'm not even sure why it's still open.....so forget about returning, just don't shop there.

Oh, and one more things. Don't be a dumbass, a lot of stores (almost all) have their "return policy" written on the back of your reciet or bottom area. Read it. If it says "no exchange or return after 30/90 days" then obviously DON'T bring your reciet and just tell them you got the product fewer days then whatever the policy was. Lying isn't a good thing, but it's a useful thing when it comes to corporate companies and getting what you need as a customer (sometimes).

CDs, DVDs, video games are only okay to exchange/return if unopened.
