Don't rebel, it may cost your life

If you're anything like me, you hate doing what the law says, because you rather not follow. Whether I do or don't won't affect the government or police, ect, it's going to affect me. If I speed then I could possibly get a ticket. Who wins? Them. I have to pay, or I possibly won't have a license.

Seat belts. When I first started driving I never began the car until everyone was buckled in. I don't know what the hell happend to me about eight months ago, but I was on some "fuck this law, fuck that law, I'm doing what I want to do, I don't need to do ____ ect" and one of these included not wearing a belt anymore.

I seriously don't know what joy I got out of it, except I felt that I wasn't obeying the law, resulting in me feeling as some sort of rebel in a small way.

It's a small act, a quick decision, with a big consequence.

Basically I'm dumb for not wearing it those eight months. I could have gotten into a wreck and been ejected. I could have. Thank God I didn't!

Between January and Feb I've read about two different wrecks local to me, both resulting in the young adults NOT wearing belts and flying out their cars, dying.

Two nights ago I heard about another incident, but this one was a tiny bit more personal, because one of my sisters knew someone invovled. Luckily the friend she knew wasn't the one that passed away and YES she was wearing her selt belt! The person who died was not unfortunetly.

It's really sad but hey, it's avoidable. I mean who knows whether or not these people would still die, when your time comes, it comes. But when you read the reports and it's almost definite that there was a chance of survival if only this or only that (wearing belt) then it makes me want to always wear it.

For you people who argue on everything I know that there are stories where sometimes not wearing the belt has been the better choice, but more often that not it's the opposite.

Please buckle up. I don't want anyone getting hurt/dying from something as simple as clicking a belt onto your chest. If you're reading and you're in the state of mind I was once in, GET THE HELL OUT OF IT! That rebel feeling isn't worth not feeling anything anymore.
