Don't text and Drive

Please plese please DON'T TEXT AND DRIVE. I used to do this, too. Up until January 30th, 2011. I was watching an episode of Extreme Make-Over House Edition and the Brown family really got me thinking to start becoming more proactive about my choices. They lost their beautiful 17 year old daugther during her senior year in 2009, because she was texting and driving. Her truck flipped multiple times and she died instantly. I've heard numerous stories about this problem and I've never cared to stop doing it...until this show opened my eyes. I haven't touched my phone once (while driving) since last Sunday and I feel good about this. I know i'm doing the right thing and I can only share with people I love or know to do the same. We think we're so invinceable and nothing will ever happen to us, until it does. I don't want to be the person who has to explain to another family that I was driving carelessly and apologize for their loss. Or worse, I don't want

First blog, yay!

So, this will be my first post. I've been wanting to start blogging for awhile now. I used to do this during high-school, but as I read my old posts I was nothing but a teen-ager who needed to get out more. Now that I'm a lot older, I find that I need to stay home more. I'm at work now, it's a Friday night. I could have been home, off, but I'm doing over-time so I can pay for four new tires on my car. You'll find that I work A LOT and complain about it A LOT, too. Comcast isn't too bad, though. It's easy for the work I do. You just have to be able to remain calm when being blamed for things you had no control over. I'm on a little break right now, I go home in thirty-five mins. I'm planning to redo a few things on this blog. I'm kind of excited. Lame? ha! I love writing, by the way. -ssr
